Eligibility Criteria
Below are the eligibility requirements for the Future Physician Leaders (FPL) program. Applicants must meet the eligibility criteria to be considered for admission into the program.
- Applicants must have graduated from high school or completed the equivalent (e.g. GED, CHSPE).
- Applicants must be a currently enrolled college student or have graduated from college within the last two years.
- Applicants must have an interest in a career in health care.
- The program is intended for students from the Inland Southern California region, including Riverside and San Bernardino Counties. Applicants must have a permanent address in these areas to be eligible to participate.
Application Information
Applications for the 2024 application cycle of the Future Physician Leaders (FPL) Program will become available on April 1, 2024. Prospective students will need to submit a program application online here. The application process includes a resume, transcript, and short essay responses.
Please be advised that there is limited seating as the 2024 Future Physician Leaders (FPL) program summer experience will grant priority enrollment to community college students in the California Medicine Scholars Program.
